WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The Warriors will try and avoid being swept by the Penticton Vees in the conclusion of their home and home Saturday night.

The Warriors are looking to rebound after suffering their fifth straight loss Friday night to the Penticton Vees. It was a game where the Vees maintained puck possession for the entire night. The shots could easily have been 50-21 instead of 30-21, but Fred Harbison’s team doesn’t elect to shoot the puck compared to the average BCHL team. This season it appears the Vees main objective is to find and create grade A scoring chances, something the Warriors did a good job executing in the 3-0 loss last night.
What the Warriors need to work on themselves is pick up some scoring chances of their own. Friday night saw 4 power play attempts – including a two minute two man advantage. Watch for the Warriors to push back and get off to the start they were hoping for last night. As for certain match-ups in this game, the Warriors were once again able to get under the skin of Boston University committed and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Jay O’Brien who was ejected from last nights game after fighting Spencer Hora. The Warriors need to be cautious of skilled players like O’Brien who see the ice better than most forwards in this league.
