West Kelowna, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors return home to Royal LePage Place when they host the Powell River Kings Friday night.

Friday October 29th VS Powell River Kings: 7:00pm

The Warriors are coming off a split at the Chilliwack showcase last weekend. After a stellar 4-1 victory over the Victoria Grizzlies, the Warriors would come up short to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs the next day. It was a game where the Warriors were missing a good chunk of their core who were either out with injury or suspended.

Tonight the Warriors host the Powell River Kings, another island division now coastal conference club on a hot streak. The Kings are coming off victories over the Wenatchee Wild, the Cranbrook Bucks and most recently a 9-3 beat down on the Coquitlam Express. Most of the Kings success has been on the man advantage. During their 3 game winning streak, the Kings have score 6 out of their 8 total powerplay goals. The Warriors have also found success on the man advantage scoring all 4 of their powerplay goals during the BCHL Showcase ending a long drought. The biggest boost for the Warriors will come in the form of John Evans and Marcus Joughin, who missed the BCHL Showcase with suspension. The Warriors could also see some help on the back end with potential returns in the works for Charles-Alexis Legault and Dylan Brooks. It’s clear the Warriors will need to stay out of the penalty box in order to get back on the win column this weekend.

Puck drop for the Warriors on Friday will be 7:00pm versus the Powell River Kings from Royal LePage Place. Fans are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume to the game where they can win prizes. Tickets are available online at WestKelownaWarriors.ca. The game will also be broadcast live on HockeyTV and  the BCHLWarriors Mixlr feed.
