West Kelowna, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors look to close the preseason in style against the Vernon Vipers.

Friday October 1st VS Vernon Vipers: 7:00pm

Saturday October 2nd @ Vernon Vipers: 6:00pm

The Warriors are coming off an impressive 4-3 overtime victory over the Prince George Spruce Kings Tuesday night. It was a great where the Warriors dominated in shots 50-25 but still could only put 4 past Jordan Fairlie. Warriors Assistant Coach Ayrton Nikkel was impressed with how the team is coming together and forming solid chemistry early on, “All five guys are working together as a unit on the ice and the other 18 are working great on the bench and communicating with one another“.

Tonight the Warriors begin a two game set versus the Vernon Vipers. The Vipers are still searching for their first win of the preseason currently sitting with an 0-2-2 record. The Vipers are another one of those Interior Conference clubs that are relying on their returning veterans to contribute some offense. Although the Vipers have lost all four games, they’ve been able to compete with the likes of the Penticton Vees who they forced to overtime last weekend and they also have been able to keep it close forcing overtime with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks inside the Shaw Centre last Tuesday. The Warriors need to know this Vipers team is just as skilled and dangerous as the Silverbacks and Vees despite their record.

Puck drop for the Warriors on Friday will be 7:00pm versus the Vernon Vipers from Royal LePage Place. Saturday night’s puck drop will be 6:00pm from Kal Tire Place in Vernon. Tickets for this game are general admission and only $10 each. All Warriors preseason games will be broadcast on HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr internet radio feed. Season Tickets and Single Game Tickets are now available online or direct from the Warriors office. For more info visit the Warriors website or call (250)769-7051.
