WARRIORS ADD KACHUR

The Westside Warriors have beefed up their back-end with the addition of Klay Kachur.

The 20 year-old defenceman comes to Westside as a ‘free-agent’, having been released late last week by a Salmon Arm Silverbacks club that was carrying too many 1991-born players.

“He’s been to two league finals with the Powell River Kings and has been well-coached there” says Westside bench boss Rylan Ferster, who points to Kachur’s work-ethic as a key reason he brought the defenceman in.

A native of Lanigan, Saskatchewan, Kachur has 24 points and 143 penalty minutes in 117 career BCHL games.

Kachur will make his Warriors debut on Friday night in Langley.
