TEGTMEYER TO BROWN

Ben Tegtmeyer is on his way to the Ivy League.
The Warriors defenceman committed to Brown University on Thursday, saying it’s been his “dream school for a few years.”
“I’ve had a lot of family members go there” the 19 year-old says, “and so it’s a school I’m familiar with.”
Tegtmeyer says he may steer towards law school, though he hasn’t made up his mind just yet.
Originally born in Minneapolis, Tegtmeyer has also lived in Portland, OR and Cincinnati, OH – though his journey to Providence is aimed more at the classrooms than the arenas.
That was my first thing, he insists, “Academics first, and hockey second.”
Tegtmeyer will head to Brown in the fall of 2014, after completing the current season with West Kelowna.
