MERRITT B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors dominate the Merritt Centennials by a score of 7-1 Wednesday night.

Special teams was a concern heading into this game with the Warriors struggling on both sides of the ice, but that would change after Wednesday night. First, Alexi Van Houtte Cachero would steal the puck and score a shorthanded goal past Centennials goaltender Jackson Baker to give the Warriors an early 1-0 lead. Then Elan Bar Lev Wise would score not one but two goals on the powerplay to give the Warriors a 3-0 lead after one period of play.

In the second the Warriors score 3 more goals. Felix Trudeau would score a pair with assists from Cristophe Farmer and Elan Bar Lev Wise to extend the lead and Tyler Cristall would add another late off a strange knucklepuck shot from the corner of the zone which got a lucky bounce past new Centennials goaltender John Hicks and in. The Cents would score their one and only goal on the powerplay courtesy of Jacksonn Hungle to end the Justin Katz shutout opportunity.

Elan Bar Lev Wise would add one more goal in the third period to pick up his 1st hat-trick of the season and his fifth point of the night capping off a career night for the 20 year old. The Warriors would hold on and head home with a 7-1 victory.

Final shots: 44-24 Warriors.
