Last Wednesday the Warriors found themselves facing an opening night Penticton Vees roster leading to a 9-1 loss on the road. Tonight, Head Coach and General Manager Brandon West will tighten up the lineup once again as we inch closer to the regular season Friday September 6th. The Warriors have played a total of 4 preseason games, but veterans Lucas Cullen, Parm Dhaliwal, Mason Richey and Jake Harrison have only played one game. Warriors have also been using 4 different goaltenders during the preseason campaign with Brock Baier, Jayden Shull, Evan Fradette, and Johnny Derrick all seeing playing time between the pipes. With only a pair of preseason games remaining, it’s decision time for the Warriors coaching staff who are running out of time.

The Trail Smoke Eaters are entering this season with lots of expectations. 16 year old Kent Johnson is expected to lead not just the Smoke Eaters in scoring this season, but compete for the lead in scoring in the entire BCHL. The Smoke Eaters are also bringing back veteran forwards Tyler Ghiaradosi and Owen Ozar to provide assistance up front especially on special teams.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 7:00pm from Cominco Arena in Trail.
