WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors(15-12-0-1) hope to get back in the win column versus the Langley Rivermen(13-12-1-0) this evening.

RIVERMEN VS WARRIORS REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE:

Nov 27th @ West Kelowna

Jan 22nd @ Langley

After winning 8 games in a row, the West Kelowna Warriors now see themselves losing 5 of their past 6 games. Most recently a very controversial 4-2 loss over the Wenatchee Wild which saw numerous ejections. Head Coach and General Manager Geoff Grimwood along with forwards Chase Dubois, Lucas Cullen, and Cavin Tilsley all were thrown out of last Saturday nights game which ultimately led to the Wild winning the hockey game. Warriors forward Lucas Cullen ended up with a 3 game suspension for receiving a gross misconduct.

. Tonight, the Warriors look to forget about their American Thanksgiving road trip and move on to a Langley Rivermen squad that have won 4 of their past 5 games with their only loss being this past Wednesday in Chilliwack by a score of 2-1.

The injury to Warriors number one centre Parm Dhaliwal is significant to the Warriors powerplay which has struggled as of late. They haven’t been able to score since Dhaliwal was in the lineup going back to November 14th in Penticton. Currently the Warriors have had 13 chances on the man advantage but haven’t been able to show much even with a little line tinkering from Head Coach and General Manager Geoff Grimwood. “Parm is a huge loss for us, in the dressing room and off the ice. He is a big part of our power play and makes others around him better. That being said it’s a huge opportunity for others guys to step up” stated Grimwood. “I’ve always liked the depth of our team and right now is a good opportunity to show it.” There is still no timeline on the return of Parm Dhaliwal to the Warriors lineup.

This is an important home game for the Warriors to gain some momentum before they take off to Vancouver Island where they play 3 games in 3 days. Currently the Warriors are sitting in the middle the Interior Division standings, 3 points behind the Wenatchee Wild who are 3rd, and one point ahead of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

Catch tonight’s game on Mixlr and Hockey TV. Warriors Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Chase Johnston is back on the mic with a pregame show 10 minutes before puck drop. Just a reminder that tickets are still available for the Tuesday night tilt versus the Langley Rivermen. Visit the Warriors website and select single game tickets for more details.
