WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors (11-26-5-2) welcome their South Okanagan rival Penticton Vees(35-11-1-1) Tuesday night.

Warriors vs. Vees 2019/20 Regular Season Schedule:

Saturday, September 28th @ Royal LePage Place  (6:00 PM) LOSS 7-3

Friday, December 6th @ South Okanagan Events Centre (7:00 PM) LOSS 5-1

Tuesday, January 21st @ Royal LePage Place (7:00 PM)

Sunday, February 9th @ South Okanagan Events Centre (2:00 PM)

The Warriors are coming off a very exciting 3-2 shootout victory over the Cowichan Valley Capitals. The Capitals came into the game 10-1 versus out of division teams this year and got off to a great start in West Kelowna with a 2-0 lead after one period. The Warriors would answer back with two late goals in the second period from John Evans and Deegan Mofford to tie it up. The game would eventually go to a shootout where Evans and Tyler Cristall would score giving the Warriors their first shootout win of the season.

Tonight the Warriors host the Interior Division leading Penticton Vees. The Vees have won 8 out of 9 games in 2020. Tonight’s game will be the final road game of the regular season for the Vees, who will finish the season with 9 straight games at home. It’s hard to believe but this Vees team is getting even better since they last played the Warriors in early December. Early in the season, all eyes were on Danny Weight and Jay O’Brien to lead the way for offense, but now Fred Harbinson is getting depth scoring out of his team, and the acquisitions of Nico Somerville and Darwin Lakoduk have been contributing in key times of hockey games. The Warriors need to just focus on their own game and take notice any line on the Vees is dangerous.

This evening’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 7:00pm from Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. For tickets to any upcoming home game visit tickets.westkelownawarriors.ca for details and packages.
