West Kelowna, B.C. –  The West Kelowna Warriors host the Penticton Vees Saturday night.

The Warriors are coming off a tough 4-1 loss at the hands of the Wenatchee Wild. The Wild were able to route the Warriors in the first period scoring three goals in the opening frame and held on with a terrific defensive performance skating off with the victory. The Warriors appeared to be out of sorts after playing their third game in three nights, once again shorthanded.

Saturday December 18th VS Penticton Vees (19-2-0-1): 7:00pm  (Vees lead season series 1-0)

Tonight the Warriors face their Okanagan rivals the Penticton Vees. Last time the Warriors faced the Vees it was a tough 6-3 loss. The Vees have won 11 of their last 12 games and show no looks of slowing down. The one thing the Vees have been able to do this season compared to previous years is stay healthy, they’ve been able to run the same 6-7 blue liners and top forwards. Ahead of the skaters is anchor Kaeden Lane. The veteran goaltender leads the league in wins and shutouts and should expect to have back to back starts after the Vees Friday night game versus the Vipers. The Warriors didn’t come out prepared for their last game against the Vees, now they will have a good idea on what to expect this time around.

Puck drop for Saturday’s game is 7:00pm from Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. Tickets are available at WestKelownaWarriors.ca. The game will also be broadcast live on HockeyTV and  the BCHLWarriors Mixlr feed.
