WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club have acquired forward Christopher Duclair (‘02) from the Pembroke Lumber Kings (CCHL) in exchange for forward Cameron Hicklin (’03).

Duclair had a great season with the Odessa Jackalopes of the NAHL last season where he registered 22 goals and 20 assists in 59 games played. “We are very excited for Christopher to join the Warriors family,” said Warriors General Manager & Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “Christopher plays the game with great pace speed and determination. He pushes the pace offensively and is responsible defensively.”

The Quebec native is excited to get things started in West Kelowna. “It feels amazing to commit to the Warriors. Justin Katz & Alexi Van Houtte-Cachero are just a couple guys I train with over the Summer and they said nothing but great things about the BCHL and West Kelowna.” said Duclair. “It’s awesome to see some familiar faces on the team and I also feel comfortable with the coaching staff and management. The Warriors have a winning culture and they put a lot of emphasis on player development which is huge.”

Forward Cameron Hicklin departs after spending the past two seasons in West Kelowna. Hicklin was a great ambassador for Warriors hockey in the community and we wish Cameron all the best with his new team.

Duclair joins multiple additions for next season including defenceman Matt Fusco, Nolan Hayes, Bobby May and forwards Jake Bernadet, Michael Salandra, Kailus Green, Matthew Lee, Luke Devlin, Ben MacDonald, Jaiden Moriello and Felix Caron.

Season tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2022/23 season. Visit westkelownawarriors.ca for more information.
