NEWS: TRIO OF WARRIORS RANKED BEST IN BCHL ON NHL’S FINAL CENTRAL SCOUTING RANKINGS

WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors are excited to announce Tyson Jugnauth (#66), incoming forward Ben MacDonald (#50) & incoming blue liner Nolan Joyce(#214) made the NHL Central Scouting Final rankings. The list consists of North American skaters.

Jugnauth, 18 was named BCHL’s Defenseman of the Year after putting up 9 goals and 41 assists during the 2021/22 regular season. This stellar season for Jugnauth improved his ranking from #134 (Midterm) to #66 (Final). The Kelowna resident is expected to play with the University of Wisconsin(NCAA) next season. Ben MacDonald improved from 60th ranked during the midterm rankings to 50th (Final) after his season with Noble and Greenough school (USHS-Prep).Nolan Joyce #214, concludes the list of Warriors players after another stellar season with St Sebastian’s School (USHS-Prep). MacDonald & Joyce will join the Warriors this September

Other BCHL players ranked include Penticton Vees blue liner Ryan Hopkins (101st), Cranbrook Bucks forward Tyson Dyck (110th) and Wenatchee Wild forward Cade Littler (187th). One BCHL goaltender cracked the rankings with Alberni Valley Bulldogs netminder Hobie Hedquist making the list at #27 among North American goalies.

The Warriors begin their Spring ID Camp this Friday in Royal LePage Place. The Warriors want to thank the fans, parents, billets and all community partners for a fantastic season. We look forward to taking part in some community events over the Summertime while preparing for the 2022-23 BCHL Regular Season which is set to begin Friday September 23rd, 2022.
