Message to Our Warriors Family
With the season now over, we want to express our sincere gratitude to all those in the Warriors family. First and foremost, we thank the fans for all your support throughout this exciting season. While the ending was not the result any of us wanted, this team accomplished a great deal, and our fans were a big part of our success. The fans brought the energy to RLP and the players responded with an outstanding home record.
We also want to thank our volunteers, employees, and billet families for what you do to help our organization. In addition, we thank our sponsors and the City of West Kelowna for their support. Operating a Junior A hockey franchise truly “takes a village” and we could not be happier about the support we receive from all of you.
It has been two and a half years since we took over as owners of the Warriors and despite the challenges associated with the pandemic, we have made great progress towards our mission. We want to win, we want to develop players to move on to higher levels, and we want to give back to this great community. This past season leaves us confident we are on the right path. We thank our players and coaches for all the work they have put in and for establishing the winning culture we hold as our standard. Notable accomplishments of this group, both on and off the ice, include:
- 37 regular season wins, second most in the BCHL
- 2nd best goal differential in the BCHL
- 10 game win streak to end the season, longest in franchise history
- 0.694 winning percentage, a franchise record
- 2 Playoff series wins, advancing to the Interior Conference Finals
- 11 Players will graduate next season to NCAA Division I programs
- Awarded the Greater Westside Board of Trade Community Service Award
- Over 35,000 fans attended home games at RLP
In the hockey business, when one season ends the next season starts. We are very excited to continue to build our program and look forward to next season with great anticipation. We are always learning and our playoff defeat to our Okanagan rivals will motivate us to get better.
We look forward to seeing everyone at RLP next September.
Thank you,
The Ownership
