WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club announced Friday that Trevor Miller will be stepping away from the team’s broadcasting and media relations position for personal reasons and to pursue other opportunities.

Miller will remain on with the team for the duration of the preseason or until a replacement has been found, handling the team’s broadcasting and social media. Games will remain on the Warriors Internet Network and HockeyTV throughout the remainder of the five preseason contests.

Miller, 24, joined the Warriors as the team’s broadcaster ahead of the 2016/17 regular season after three seasons with the Penticton Vees as a colour commentator. Miller called all of the Warriors preseason, regular season and postseason games for each of the last two seasons before stepping away ahead of this upcoming season.

“I’d like to thank to the Cheyne family for allowing me the chance to live out my dream of broadcasting in the BC Hockey League and bringing me on board two seasons ago,” commented Miller, “West Kelowna is a great organization that is in great hands with Kim Dobranski. This was the best decision for myself and my family and I leave with unforgettable memories and long lasting relationships.”

“It’s sad to see Trevor go as our broadcaster but we understand he is doing what is right for himself and his family,” stated Warriors Owner and President Kim Dobranski, “We wish Trevor the best in his future endeavors.”

Interested applicants for the broadcasting position are to email info@westkelownawarriors.ca.

Season tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2018/19 season, which is set to begin Friday, September 7th before heading to Royal LePage Place to host the Trail Smoke Eaters in their home opener on Saturday, September 8th. Head to the Warriors newly renovated office to check in on ticket details.
