The Warriors are coming into Friday night’s contest after a 3-1 loss on Wednesday night in their preseason opener against the Penticton Vees at RLP. Incoming recruit Cole Wyatt scored the lone goal for West Kelowna on a shorthanded breakaway in the third period. Penticton opened the scoring in the first frame before adding a pair of goals in the third, including an empty netter, to earn the victory.

West Kelowna has some familiar faces back in the lineup for tonight’s preseason game as eight veterans from last year’s squad are set to hit the ice tonight. Parm Dhaliwal, Chase Dubois, Cavin Tilsley, Willie Reim, Max Bulawka, Matt Kowalski, Garrett Ewert and Wyatt Head will get into action for the first time this season with Malden, Massachusetts native Connor Hopkins and incoming goaltender from the Spruce Grove Saints Hayden Missler splitting the game between the pipes.

Salmon Arm will also  have a smattering of returnees in their lineup such as forwards Hudson Schandor,  Demetri Kambietz, Trevor Adams, Noah Wakeford along with defenseman Julian Timba. Fort St. John native and Okanagan Hockey Academy Elite 15s goaltender Jordan Fairlie will start the game while Brick, New Jersey native Andrew Slobiski may see time as well.

Opening puck drop is slated for 7:00 PM with tickets available for $10 at the box office while the game will also be broadcasted live on the Warriors Internet Network as well as HockeyTV.com.

Season tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2018/19 season, which is set to begin Friday, September 7th before heading to Royal LePage Place to host the Trail Smoke Eaters in their home opener on Saturday, September 8th. Head to the Warriors newly renovated office to check in on ticket details.
