WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors were unable to sweep the second round of the BCHL’s Interior Conference Semi Finals after the Silverbacks took Game #4 by a score of 5-1.

The Warriors would take a 1-0 lead in the first with captain Elan Bar-Lev-Wise finding the back of the net. Goaltender Johnny Derrick stood on his head in the first stopping all 14 shots he faced. Shots in the first were 14-7 Salmon Arm.

The Silverbacks would tie the game up at one with Zack Smith getting one past Derrick. Zack Smith would score another goal off a great feed from Brandon Santa Juana to make it 2-1 heading into the third period. Shots in the second were 16-12 Warriors.

The Warriors needed an epic third period but the Silverbacks continued to keep their foot on the gas pedal with Tucker Hartmann scoring his 3rd of the postseason extending the lead by a pair. Then only moments later,  Brandon Santa Juana would score a goal off his skate to make it 4-1. Then, Silverbacks Captain Daniel Panetta would put in the dagger in the heart of the Warriors late to make it 5-1. Things got heated between Kierran Ruschenski and Felix Trudeau with over 7 minutes remaining in the game. Both players would get ejected from the game with Ruschenski receiving a blow to the head penalty. The Silverbacks would skate off with a 5-1.

FINAL SHOTS: 36-33 Silverbacks.
