WEST KELOWNA, B.C. –  The West Kelowna Warriors return home to host the Silverbacks in Game #3 of the BCHL’s Interior Conference Semi Finals Monday evening.

The Warriors started the 2nd round with a bang. They managed to win both games inside the Shaw Centre to begin the series and now have a golden opportunity to close out the series sooner than hoped. In game #1, the Line of Chase Dafoe, John Evans and Tyler Cristall led the way with a total of 9 points combined. In Game #2, the line of Felix Trudeau, Elan Bar Lev Wise and Christophe Farmer would combine for 2 out of the 4 Warriors goals. In fact, all 3 lines contributed during Saturday night’s 4-1 win.

GAME #3  Friday April 18th VS Salmon Arm Silverbacks (4-5):  6:00pm  (Warriors Lead Best of 7 Series at 2-0)

Top playoff performers:

West Kelowna – F John Evans (13 points), F Tyler Cristall (12 points), D Charles-Alexis Legault (10 points), F Marcus Joughin (10 points) G Johnny Derrick (.930 SV%)

Monday night the Warriors return home to Royal LePage Place. Last time the Warriors hosted a home game it was Game #5 of the first round in front of just under 1500 fans. Almost half the Warriors roster have not played in front of an atmosphere like that before. The Warriors hope they get a similar crowd for game#3 and game #4 this week, and with the likelihood of the Silverbacks fanbase travelling down we could get another one of those games. The one thing the Warriors need to do is just simply replicate their performances from the first two games of the series. They not only produced offensively but they managed to get solid defensive play from their blue line and goaltending from Johnny Derrick. If the Warriors take their foot off the gas pedal now, the Silverbacks are one of the few clubs in the BCHL that can make you pay. They need to continue to respect their opponent like they have all series.

This game broadcast will be available on the Shaw Spotlight Channel, BCHLTV(formally HockeyTV) and the Warriors Mixlr Radio Network. Puck drop at 6:00pm from Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. Tickets available for Game#3 and Game #4 at Westkelownawarriors.ca. We would like to ask fans to order your tickets online as the box office is expected to have a long lineup before each game. We want to welcome our presenting sponsor of the postseason, London Drugs.
