WEST KELOWNA HOCKEYVILLE & WESTSIDE WARRIORS TEAM UP FORTHE FOOD BANK

This week, volunteers with West Kelowna’s Kraft Hockeyville bid and the Westside Warriors presented Dave Ford an $8,000 hot tub, kindly donated by the Melvin family at Beachcomber Home Leisure in Kelowna.

The hot tub was a grand prize offered in a raffle drive by the Warriors and Kraft Hockeyville group to raise donations for the Westside Community Food Bank.

The drive raised over $4,000 in food donations and $1,000 in cash.

Kraft Hockeyville Co-Chair and Warriors Director of Operations, Andrew Deans was thrilled with the fundraising efforts.

“The whole philosophy behind Kraft Hockeyville is the same philosophy we have at the Warriors, which is to support community spirit and help support the people of our community,” said Deans.

“This fundraising drive, coupled with our work to help raise donations for the Food Bank back in December through our involvement with the West Kelowna Kraft Hockeyville Family Winterfest, has helped provide much needed support for the Food Bank during one of the most critical periods of the year. We’re thrilled for the Ford family, thankful to the Melvin family and Beachcomber for their generous donation, and couldn’t be happier to be helping such an important cause in our community.”
