The West Kelowna Warriors team spent the morning and afternoon volunteering at Wendy's 19th Annual Dreamlift Day today!
The Warriors were busy with various tasks to keep them occupied as Wendy's raised money to get kids to Disneyland.
Players did some of the following tasks:
– Grill
– Drive-Thru
– Window Washing Cars in the Drive-Thru
– Door Greeting
– Frosty Maker
– Bun Man
– Balloons
– Ketchup Cup Fillers
Pastor Don Richmond, Stuntman Steve Francis, Jon "Jay-Z" Zacks, and Alex "Drapes" Draper also spent the day volunteering at Wendy's on behalf of the Warriors.
All the net proceeds from the day’s sales in the nine participating Wendy’s, as well as staff, management, & owner’s wages will be earmarked for the next B.C. Interior “DreamLift to Disneyland”, tentatively scheduled for December 2013.
Participating Wendy’s include; Kamloops (North Kamloops; Sahali; Valleyview), Salmon Arm, Vernon, Kelowna (Rutland & Hwy 97), West Kelowna & Penticton.
