Warriors, Vees Clash For Final Time In Pre Season

The West Kelowna Warriors are back in action tonight for the fourth time this pre season when they take on the undefeated Penticton Vees at Royal LePage Place tonight.

The Warriors have not played since their 4-3 victory in Salmon Arm on Saturday, a game in which the Warriors got ahead 3-0 with goals from Chase Dubois, Matt Monk and Bryon Moradshadi before the Silverbacks made a charge back to get the game to 3-2. Mitch Martan would bury the eventual game winner on the PP before a late Salmon Arm goal that made things interesting in the final moments.

West Kelowna is the expected to dress a more veteran lineup as the pre season rolls along as the team made some cuts after the game on Saturday as the team is starting to take shape for the regular season opener on September 9th at RLP. This will be the last of two pre season matchups for the Warriors against the Vees as West-K look to avenge a 2-0 loss to the hands of the Vees in Penticton last Wednesday.

The Vees, who were just in action last night in Penticton, are coming off a 4-2 win over the Vernon Vipers on Tuesday. Five goals came in the game’s first 14 minutes before the Vees were able to ride out the two-goal victory and improve their pre season record to 3-0-0. Penticton dressed many of their veterans and like the Warriors, will do the same as the regular season is just around the corner.

Tickets are just $5 for tonight’s game, along with every pre season Warriors home game, a great chance to get the family down and watch some good hockey tonight at RLP. If you can’t make it down to the rink, the game can be seen live on pay-per-view on FASTHockey.com

West Kelowna continues their pre season play on Friday with a game at home against the Merritt Centennials before wrapping their 2016 pre season schedule with a game in Merritt against the Cents. Both games are 7:00 pm face-offs.
