WARRIORS TRADE FOR MATT CRONIN

General Manager and Head Coach, Darren Yopyk, announced today that the Westside Warriors have acquired 18 year old defenseman, Matt Cronin, from the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

?Matt will bolster our blue line,? says Yopyk.  ?He adds a strong physical presence as well as a strong work ethic both on and off the ice.  We are excited to welcome Matt to the Warriors family.?

Last season Cronin played for the Langley Chiefs and had an impressive rookie season playing in 52 games and registering 6 points while amassing 92 PIMs.  Cronin hails from Langley, BC and stands 6?3?, and weighs 190 lbs.  Matt has already secured an NCAA Division I scholarship for the 2012-13 hockey season with Merrimack College.

Cronin arrives in West Kelowna for the start of training camp.
