Warriors Take Game 1
The Westside Warriors drew first blood in its first round playoff series with the Trail Smoke Eaters, downing the Smokies 5-1 to take a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.
Cam Reid scored twice for the Warriors and Kevin Jebson was solid in net for the Warriors who held period leads of 2-0 and 4-1.
The Warriors scored twice in the opening period as 20-year-old defenseman Cory Pritz opened the scoring with a sweet stick-handle before putting his own rebound home. Reid converted a rebound later in the period
to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead after the first.
Trevor Bailey also scored for the Warriors.
