WARRIORS FORWARD COMMITS TO UNIVERSITY

The West Kelowna Warriors are proud to announce forward Daniel Gayle has accepted a scholarship to attend the University of Calgary commencing in the 2013/14 hockey season.

The University of Calgary Dinos play in the CIS, and have won eight Canada West Championships.

Last year, Gayle had 35 points (13G, 22A) in 48 games split between the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and West Kelowna.  The Warriors acquired Gayle from
the Barons for Jetlan Houcher on the January 10th, 2013 trade deadline.

Daniel added 4 goals, and 4 assists, in 10 playoff games for the Warriors.

"Daniel Gayle was a great January 10th deal for us,” Added Head Coach/GM Rylan Ferster. 
 
“He was a very good 200 foot player that competed hard.  It’s great to see him continue on with his studies and hockey. We want to congratulate him, and his family, on his commitment to the University of Calgary"
 
Gayle also put up 15 goals, and 24 assists, in 61 games for the Calgary Hitmen during the 2011/12 season.
