Your Warriors this weekend ran into some tough battles against their opponents both nights. Friday night to the Penticton Vee?s losing 2-3 and Saturday night to the Powell River Kings 4-5 in Double Overtime to a penalty shot. Friday night the Vee?s went 2-4 on the power play while your Warriors were only able to capitalize on 1-4 on their power play in a 26-22 shooting gallery in Penticton?s favour.
Saturday night was another story, however the end result after an action packed game came to Powell River?s upper hand ending the game in the second overtime with a penalty shot goal. Your Warriors went 2-4 on their man advantage opportunities, while the Kings were shut down only going 1-8 on their power play opportunities.
Your Warriors are on the road to bounce back into the win column this Friday night, October 10, to face off with the Vernon Vipers for a 7pm start at the Wesbild Center.
