The Westside Warriors are excited to announce they are teaming up with SIFE Okanagan for their Campbell?s Lets Can Hunger campaign. This weekend the Warriors play host to Salmon Arm and Quesnel in back to back home games, beginning Friday. At both games SIFE Okanagan and the West Kelowna Food bank will be collecting non-perishable food donations. Each food item brought to the game will get you into a draw to win fantastic prizes from The Cove Resort & Spa, Westbank Chiropractic and Body Fit! There will be draws each night for lucky fans in attendance. January 24th to 30th is SIFE Okanagan?s Hunger week. Special events will be happening around the community. SIFE?s goal is to raise awareness on the hunger issue and to surpass what was raised during SIFE's first annual Trick-or-Eat Campaign held back in October 2010. SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) is a global non-profit student run organization. They impact the community by implementing socially responsible outreach projects that have an outstanding impact on the specific needs of their community. This year they have teamed up with Campbell?s Soup in their quest to eliminate hunger! Their goal is to collect 80,000lbs for our local food banks. Currently to date they have collected 30,000lbs! Be sure to attend the Westside Warriors games January 28th and 29th at Royal LePage Place and bring your donations for a chance to win some great prizes!
