The Westside Warriors are proud to announce Brandon West will be moving on as the first assistant coach Troy Mick's coaching staff in Salmon Arm. West is the former bench boss of the MML Okanagan Rockets in 2010-2011.
Most recently, West was selected by the Team Pacific management group to work as an assistant coach at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. The event will take place during the upcoming Christmas break in Victoriaville and Drummondville, Quebec.
“I could not be more excited than I am today to be joining a first class organization in the Silverbacks and to be part of a great community like Salmon Arm. I’m looking forward to a great year” says new Assistant Coach Brandon West. “I’d like to thank Westside for helping me start my career in the BCHL.”
“We are extremely happy for Brandon and the opportunity that he has been given with Salmon Arm.” Says Warriors Head Coach/GM Rylan Ferster. “He is an outstanding young coach with a bright future. This is a business where people move on not only as players, but as coaches. The entire organization wishes Brandon all the best and want to thank him for all his countless hours of hard work and dedication to the Warriors last year.”
The Warriors wish Brandon all the best in his future endeavours!
