The summer is winding down and the much anticipated Royal LePage Place is nearly complete. The constant talks around both Kelowna and the Westside, about whether or not the project will be done in time, look more and more like the optimists might come out on top. With the ice slated to be frozen in place for the highly anticipated charity game for Sunday August 19th, signs point to yes.
What does that mean for the Westside? Well, it means the start of an excitement and energy this community has never seen before! The Westside Warriors Junior ?A? Hockey club, their already thriving fan base, and the many other community members have been waiting too long for this day. It is literally now, within weeks.
The Westside Warriors will enter ?The Battlefield? that is known as Royal LePage Place for the first time on August 23. That is the date the club will welcome back its returning Warriors and search for new recruits to throw on the jersey and compete by representing the newly municipalized city.
The Westside Warriors welcome all fans, sponsors and media to come out and look at the talent go through ?The Battlefield? training. The main camp will run from August 23rd to the 26th with the ice times listed below.
