WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club have acquired forward Rylee Hlusiak (‘02) from the Hawkesbury Hawks (CCHL) in exchange for blue liner Zach Reim (’03).

Hlusiak had a great season with the Hawks last season where he registered 29 goals and 39 assists in 49 games played. “We are very excited for Rylee to join the Warriors family,” said Warriors General Manager & Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “Rylee is a speedy forward with an excellent release. He competes in all areas of the ice and will be able to help drive the offence this season.”

The Barrie, Ontario native is excited to play in the BCHL this year. “The BCHL is obviously the premier Junior ‘A’ league in Canada.” said Hlusiak. “I’m excited to see how the games go, how different they are, playing with players who are better and more skilled can only improve my game and help me get to the next level.”

Defender Zach Reim departs after spending last season in West Kelowna. Zach was nothing but professional during his time with the Warriors and the Warriors organization wishes Zach all the best with his new team.

Hlusiak joins multiple additions for next season including defenceman Matt Fusco, Nolan Hayes, Bobby May and forwards Chris Duclair, Jake Bernadet, Michael Salandra, Kailus Green, Matthew Lee, Luke Devlin, Ben MacDonald, Jaiden Moriello and Felix Caron.

Season tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2022/23 season. Visit westkelownawarriors.ca for more information.
