TONIGHT’S FOR YOU MAX!

Tonight the Tribe hosts the Chilliwack Chiefs in a “must win” situation, game time 7pm.

This game, in particular, is close to the Warriors family.  Max French, the teams newly crowned hometown Captain, approached us last week and asked if we could dedicate a game to his best friend Brittany Metro.

Upon further conversation we knew that it was a great story Max had shared with us.  And, like most of the community knows, it’s hard to say no to that boy…

Max and Brittany have been inseparable friends since a very young age.  But, Brittany was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2010.  At the time she was working two jobs while taking full-time studies at UBCO.

In early summer 2011 Brittany was cleared of her Cancer and was set to begin her young and promising life again.  Then it happened, the Cancer reappeared this past fall.  Brittany is back at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver.  She’s receiving treatments to build up her immune system in order to undergo a stem cell transplant.

She still has dream of finishing her Business Degree and Max wants to do anything he can to help Brittany and her family.

Elaine Metro, Brittany’s mom, will be on hand and Max will have a special presentation for her in the 1stintermission.

Max has also received some special raffle prizes including: an autographed Canucks picture (framed) from Shutout Collectibles, a game worn-team signed Warriors jersey, and a 6 month pass (unlimited tan & sauna) from World Gym.

UPS West Kelowna has also donated 100 special Max French posters.  They will be available for purchase at tonight’s game only for a minimum $1 donation.

Posters and Raffle Tickets will be available in Section 101 at the Shutout Collectibles booth.  The draw will be at the scheduled time out halfway through the 3rdperiod.

Thank you for support in this local young man’s initiative!
