WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors(5-22-5-2) host the Chilliwack Chiefs(18-11-4-2) Tuesday night.

The Warriors are coming off another thrilling game, this time versus the Wenatchee WIld. Holden Kodak was able to score the coveted Teddy Bear Toss goal early in the game but penalty trouble for the Warriors allowed the Wild to score a pair of goals on the power play to take the lead. With a 3-2 Wild lead in the third, the Warriors showed great resilience storming back with Carter Wilkie scoring with over a minute to go forcing overtime. In the end it wasn’t enough with the Wild Sam Morton winning it in overtime putting the Warriors overtime/shootout record to 0-7. The one goal loss would be the Warriors league leading 13th one goal loss of the year. This is a team that is improving on all angles. Goaltending has improved with veteran Brock Baier, the D core is solid with Wyatt Head back, and the Warriors are getting depth scoring.
Tonight the Warriors face another club that knows how to put the puck in the net, the Chilliwack Chiefs. The Warriors last four games they’ve had to play against top 5 power plays in the BCHL. Tonight it doesn’t get easier with the third ranked Chilliwack Chiefs in town. They have plenty of weapons up front that can score on the man advantage like Minnesota Wild prospect Nikita Nestorenko, Kyle Penny and former Warriors forward Trevor Adams who was acquired via trade back in November. Key to a Warriors victory is to stay disciplined and focus on getting an early lead.
