West Kelowna, B.C. –  The West Kelowna Warriors return home for a tilt with the Vernon Vipers Saturday night.

The Warriors are coming off a pair of victories versus the Wenatchee Wild extending their winning streak to six games. The first one went the distance with the Warriors winning 5-4 in overtime. Friday night the Warriors had a comfortable 4-1 lead in the third period and escaped with a 4-3 win.

Saturday November 13th VS Vernon Vipers (4-4-3-2): 7:00pm

Tonight the Warriors face the Vernon Vipers, a club they haven’t seen since the preseason in September. The Vipers are coming into this season with a near .500 record. The Vipers have played majority of their opponents close this season with half of their games going to the either overtime or a shootout. This Vipers team is very similar to the Vipers team the Warriors faced in the Pod season and are well aware what they bring to the table. Like the Warriors, the Vipers are also travelling overnight Friday night. The goal is simple according to Warriors Head Coach and General Manager Simon Ferguson, especially during a 3 game in 3 night stretch, “We need to keep things simple, both teams will be coming in a little tired after long trips and we need to make sure we win the turnover battle and not make mistakes ourselves.”

Puck drop for Saturdays game is 7:00pm from Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. Tickets available at WestKelownaWarriors.ca The game will also be broadcast live on HockeyTV and  the BCHLWarriors Mixlr feed.
