WEST KELOWNA B.C. -The Warriors are looking to split the season series with a win tonight over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

Silverbacks VS Warriors Schedule:

Sept 28th VS Salmon Arm 7:00pm   5-3 WIN

Sept 29th @ Salmon Arm 7:00pm   4-1 LOSS

Oct 5th @ Salmon Arm 7:00pm      5-2 LOSS

Oct 26th VS Salmon Arm 7:00pm   4-1 WIN

Feb 1st @ Salmon Arm 7:00pm    5-1 LOSS

Feb 2nd VS Salmon Arm 7:00pm

The Silverbacks continue to look strong at home after a stellar 5-1 victory over the Warriors Friday night. Story of the game had to have been the Silverbacks goaltending with rookie sensation Ethan Langenegger stopping 41 of 42 shots faced making a couple massive point blank saves keeping it 3-0 after the first period. The Silverbacks also did a fantastic job neutralizing the Warriors breakouts in the neutral zone forcing turnovers which led to a pair of goals.

Tonight Warriors Head Coach and General Manager Brandon West will have his hands full coaching his first game at Royal LePage Place. West will also be trying to avoid his very first losing streak as a member of the Warriors organization. Look for a couple changes to the lineup which would include goaltender Connor Hopkins starting between the pipes who had a subpar start last Wednesday night versus the Surrey Eagles. Hopkins wanted back a couple goals that got past him Wednesday and he’s already looking ahead to Saturday’s game. Look for the physicality to ramp up as well. There is clearly some unfinished business between some of the players who dropped the gloves on Friday night.

The Warriors are currently sitting in 4th place in the Interior Division with 53 points. 6 points behind the Wenatchee Wild and 1 point ahead of the Vernon Vipers. The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are sitting in sixth place in the Interior Division – 1 point behind the Vernon Vipers and 5 points ahead of the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Catch tonight’s game on Mixlr and Hockey TV. Warriors Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Chase Johnston is back on the mic with a pregame show 10 minutes before puck drop.
