DUNCAN, B.C. – The Warriors(4-14-3-2) cap off their first Island road trip versus the Cowichan Valley Capitals(13-9-1-1) Sunday afternoon.

Warriors vs. Capitals 2019/20 Regular Season Schedule:

Sunday, November 10th @ Cowichan Community Centre (2:00 PM)

Saturday, January 18th @ Royal LePage Place  (6:00 PM)

The Warriors started their Island road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Powell River Kings last Friday. It was a game where the Warriors couldn’t generate much offense and yet again ran into a new a hot goaltender in Derek Krall. The former Penticton Vees netminder stopped 29 of 30 shots propelling his new Powell River Kings team to another victory.

This afternoon the Warriors will have another test, the Cowichan Valley Capitals. The Capitals are coming off a 5-0 loss to the Coquitlam Express Saturday night. It was a game where physicality was front and centre with player ejections and lots of special teams time with the Express capitalizing on majority of their chances. The Capitals actually out shot the Express in the hockey game but couldn’t get much in terms of quality scoring chances on goaltender Clay Stevenson. The Capitals will look to come out strong versus the Warriors after being shutout at home Saturday night.

This afternoon’s game will be broadcast on both HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Network. Puck drop at 2:00pm from Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan. For tickets to any upcoming home game visit tickets.westkelownawarriors.ca for details and packages.
