OWNERSHIP ANNOUNCES UNPRECEDENTED TICKET SALE

“We want to fill our building next season. And we’re going to put our money where our mouth is to do it”, says, Mark Cheyne, West Kelowna Warriors owner, explaining massive season ticket pre-sale price reductions and an unprecedented fan incentive offer introduced today.

The BCHL Junior A Club, now into the final stretch of their 8th season in West Kelowna, announced the huge season ticket presale this morning, offering a limited number of 2014/15 season tickets discounted by as much as half the regular price.

Through the limited offer, adult season tickets, regularly $350, will be presale priced at just $199. Students and seniors tickets will go from $300 to just $179. Children’s season tickets, normally $99, are reduced to less than half price at just $49.

“We want to make our games as accessible to local families as we can.  While we can’t offer these prices ongoing, offering a limited batch at these reductions makes coming out to games possible for some families and people on fixed incomes, who maybe otherwise couldn’t afford to.”

In addition to the dramatic season ticket reductions, the Warriors also announced what the team is calling a Performance Guarantee with every season ticket sold next season. If the Warriors fail to make the 2015 BCHL Playoffs, 2014/15 season ticket holders will each receive a $50 credit towards a 2015/2016 season ticket. The move is unheard of in Junior Hockey.

“We want to win a championship. We know our fans want us to win a championship. We’re accountable to our fans. So we’re stepping up and doing something that, to the best of my knowledge, has never been done in the BCHL. Certainly not during my time in Junior Hockey.”

Warriors Director of Operations, Andrew Deans agrees that the move is unprecedented.

“When the idea first came up, we all thought it was kind of crazy. ‘What team puts it on the line like that?’ But that’s Mark – he’s committed to bringing a championship to West Kelowna.”

Fans interested in pre-ordering 2014/15 season ticket packages at the reduced prices are urged to contact the Warriors office at 250-769-7051 or complete a pre-order form at the next Warriors home games, Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon, to ensure they reserve one of the limited number of packages available.
