NEWS: WARRIORS TO HOST “HOCKEY DAY IN WEST K” THIS SUNDAY

Thursday, January 7th

WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club and Winmar are excited to announce “Hockey Day in West K” this Sunday when the Warriors host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

Youth tickets are free for those who wear any minor hockey jersey or a Warriors jersey to the game. There will also be a free post game skate with the Warriors team immediately following the game.

Winmar will be accepting new and used hockey gear, which they will clean, and donate to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program. The Jumpstart program helps kids between 4-18 get into organized sports and all donations stay within the community. Cash donations will also be accepted.

“We want to start an annual celebration of the game and Winmar has happily stepped up and supported the event” stated Warriors new President Chris Laurie. “Any Okanagan youths are invited to wear their minor hockey jerseys or warriors jerseys and attend for free! We have plenty of fun planned including a post-game skate with the team”.

Happy Hour at Royal LePage Place will include half price on beer and wine before the anthem.

The Warriors next game is on the road versus the Merritt Centennials. Puck drop at 7:00pm from the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena. You can watch the game live on Hockey TV  or listen live for free on the BCHL Warriors mixlr feed. For tickets to any upcoming home game, visit tickets.westkelownawarriors.ca.
