NEWS: TRIO OF WARRIORS INVITED TO NHL CAMPS

MONTREAL, Q.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce 3 more players will be attending NHL Development camps this week. Blue liner Charles Alexis Legault will attend Ottawa Senators Camp, alumni forward Connor Joyce will attend Montreal Canadiens Camp & alumni forward Carter Wilkie will attend his hometown Calgary Flames Camp.

Legault, 18, was a part of NHL’s Central Scouting Final Rankings during the 2020/21 season and went undrafted both seasons, however he had a great second half of the season with the Warriors turning some heads and earning himself a commitment to Quinnipiac University (NCAA) this Fall.

Joyce, 21, played for the Warriors during the Okanagan Cup in the Fall of 2020 before joining Boston College(NCAA) for his Freshman season. The Dedman, Mass native will be attending the Montreal Canadiens camp with his former Head Coach Simon Ferguson on the ice as a special guest coach for the Habs.

Wilkie, 21, spent two seasons with the Warriors before joining Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)(NCAA) where he had a stellar Freshman season earning the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Year award. Wilkie received the call from the Calgary Flames organization well before the NHL Draft.

The three drafted players which include Tyson Jugnauth, Ben MacDonald & Luke Devlin will be attending their NHL Development camps which are set to begin Monday.
