WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is thrilled to announce they will be returning to full capacity when they host the Cranbrook Bucks Saturday evening.

This news comes with the new PHO updates loosening some restrictions which are set to take effect February 17th. Warriors Head Coach and General Manager Simon Ferguson says the 50% capacity really changes the vibe of a game, “I think the players are super excited. Beyond a brief time at the beginning of the season, they really have not seen the building full since our overtime victory vs The Vees 2 yrs ago in Playoffs . Even just a few hundred extra fans can create an electric atmosphere inside Royal LePage Place and our players notice it. I’m very much looking forward to seeing everyone come by RLP this weekend”.

There are still some restrictions still in place including:

  • Face Coverings: Masks in indoor public spaces remain in effect, including in all B.C.-based BCHL facilities.
  • Vaccine Card: The BC Vaccine Card Order remains in effect for all spectators attending events, including all B.C.-based BCHL games.

Saturday’s Puck drop is slated for 7:00 PM with tickets available for purchase online at westkelownawarriors.ca at the Warriors office, by calling (250) 769-7051 or at the box office one hour ahead of the opening face-off. Royal LePage Place can now hold 100% capacity with proof of vaccination. The game will also be broadcast on HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr Radio Network.
