WEST KELOWNA – Former West Kelowna Warriors forward Mike Hardman checked off another experience off his list after attending Boston Bruins development camp back in June.

It was back in February where Hardman was getting noticed by NHL scouts around the league. The Bruins expressed interest in Hardman and stated that if he didn’t get drafted he would have an invite to their development camp. “I was so excited,” stated Hardman. “It was extra special because the Bruins are my favorite team.”

From the facilities to cooking lessons, Mike was able to soak it all in. “It was an unbelievable feeling walking into the facilities on the first day. The locker room was amazing. I also learned a lot about how to be a pro. Eating healthy meals, how to train properly, all of these are huge for me to take back to Boston College.”

Hardman will be suiting up for the Boston College Eagles(NCAA) this fall, but doesn’t rule out a return to Bruins development camp next off-season. “Being from Boston, it would be extra special to get a camp invite next season, but for now my goal is to focus on preparing for my freshman year with Boston College.”

Hardman will join fellow BCHL graduates Jacques Bouquot and Alex Newhook with Boston College this upcoming season. The puck drops on the NCAA season this October.

The Warriors kick off the pre-season August 21 when they host the Penticton Vees at Royal Lepage Place, with the regular season home kick off September 6 against the Vipers.
