KING RANKED BY NHL

 

Westside Warriors defenseman Michael King (‘93) has been ranked 126thoverall by the final NHL Central Scouting Rankings.

 

King moved up eight spots to the top tier of the 5thround, where he is projected to be drafted.

 

The 6-foot-5, 205-pounder registered 5 goals and 23 points through 48 games in his first BCHL season. The native of Prince George has already secured a scholarship to Colorado College for the 2012/13 season.

 

Colorado is a Division 1 athletics school.

 

If drafted he would join former Warriors Justin Schultz (43rdoverall/2008) and Cam Reid (192ndoverall/2009) as draft picks from Westside.

 

King is currently training in Prince George over the summer in anticipation of his sophomore season with Westside.

This year's NHL Entry Draft is slated for June 24th and 25th at the Xcel Energy Centre in St. Paul, Minnesota.
