Who’s Hot:

West Kelowna:

  • Rorke Applebee – Goaltender – Châteauguay, Quebec – Lake Superior State University

Coming on in relief last night against the Smoke Eaters and off of a 1st star of the Week nod from the BCHL, Applebee continued his torrid stretch by making 19 saves and earning his sixth consecutive win in net. The Lake Superior State commit has not allowed a goal in 123:38 of game action and has stopped each of his last 51 shots faced. Over his last six games, Applebee has posted a 6-0-0 record along with a 1.17 goals against average and a .957 save percentage.

  • Cal Hughes – Forward – Westwood, Massachusetts – Boston University

The Teddy Bear Toss goal scorer from Saturday night added another for good measure as well as an assist later in the game to complete a three-point night for the Boston University commit. Hughes is starting to find his offensive rhythm with points in three of his last five games while two of those games featured a pair of goals from the Warriors forward.

Vernon:

  • Eric Pastro – Forward – Vernon, BC

The Vernon, BC native has been a consistent point producer in his first season with the Vipers, amassing 10 goals and 24 points in 24 games in his rookie season. Pastro has earned points in three of his last four games, garnering three assists in that span while also collecting a point in five of his last seven games.

  • Owen Kim – Forward – North Vancouver, BC – College of the Holy Cross

Named a BCHL All-Star for the first time in his three-year career, Kim leads the Vipers with 7 goals and 28 points in 23 games this season with his 21 helpers ranking 5th in the league. The College of the Holy Cross commit is a veteran of 126 games in the league while in his first season with the Vipers after playing two years with the Langley Rivermen.

The Warriors and Vipers kick off the fourth of their five-game season series on Sunday afternoon on Brendan Ritchie Day. The game is followed by a post-game skate with the players that fans are welcome to attend. Puck drop is set for 2:30 PM with tickets available for purchase online at the Warriors website or in-person at the Box Office ahead of the opening puck drop.
