FINAL CANCER FUNDRAISING NUMBERS

The West Kelowna Warriors are proud to announce the team raised over $9,000 in the month of November for the Canadian Cancer Society!

Players, Coaches, and Staff took part in our first ever Movember campaign throughout the entire month of November.  (A final video can be found on our Facebook and You Tube pages)

Together they raised over $7,000 through Movember.  Including a “Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow” challenge between Stuntman Steve Francis (103.9 The Juice) and Wayne Moore (Castanet).  Between the two of them they raised nearly $2,000!

Both were good sports and had their hair & mustaches shaved at the Warriors Annual Battle to Beat Cancer Game (November 30th).

Our final game of the month concluded with a huge promotion for the Canadian Cancer Society, including several donated raffle items to help raise more money.

With the help of that game the Warriors total now reaches over $9,000 raised!

That total won’t stop climbing either.  Warriors “Team Briefing” Cancer Posters will be available at the office, or at home games, for just a $5 donation throughout the year.

The Warriors wish to thank the following sponsors for making this our biggest fundraiser to date:

–          Castanet
–          103.9 The Juice
–          Servicemaster Restore
–          Ultimate Hockey & Skate
–          Shutout Sports Collectibles
