NEWS: FINLEY SIGNS WITH THE LIGHTNING

WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors would like to congratulate forward Jack Finley on signing a three-year, entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Finley, 18, was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2020 NHL Draft by the Lightning. The 6’6”, 215-pound forward posted 19 goals and 38 assists for 57 points in 61 games played with the Spokane Chiefs(WHL) during the 2019-2020 season.

Finley suited up for 3 games with the Warriors, scoring one goal and 2 assists during the Okanagan Cup. Finley was loaned to the Warriors from the Spokane Chiefs with the delay of the Western Hockey League regular season.

FInley becomes the 7th player from the Warriors to have inked a NHL contract, joining forwards Jason Cotton(Carolina Hurricanes), Colton Sissons (Nashville Predators), David Pope (Vancouver Canucks), blue liner Justin Schultz (Pittsburgh Penguins), goaltenders Kevin Boyle (Anaheim Ducks) and Nathan Lieuwen (Buffalo Sabres).
