Warriors Win and Raise $2,500 for BC Children?s Hospital

Justin Schultz scored twice as the Westside Warriors earned their second win in a row, kicking off a three game weekend in the B.C. Hockey League.  Schultz scored late in the first and second periods and Kevin Jebson stopped 33 of 34 Burnaby shots to improve the Warriors record to 18-10-0-3 and keep them in third place in the BCHL Interior Conference.  Cory Pritz and Vince Mihalek also scored for the Warriors.

The Warriors led 2-0 after the first period after goals by defensemen Pritz and Schultz. Schultz?s second of the game made it 3-1 after two periods.

Max Grassi scored for Burnaby on an assist from Brent Vandenberg, his first point as a member of the Express after being acquired from the Penticton Vees.  The Warriors left immediately after the game heading north for two road games. Westside will play Prince George tomorrow (7 p.m.) and Quesnel on Sunday (2 p.m.)

Friday night was also BC Children?s hospital night.  In conjunction with Save-on-Foods, the Warriors and our fans and corporate sponsors raised $2,500 for BC Children?s hospital.  The Warriors organization and the BCHL would like to say thank you to all the Warrior fans and corporate sponsors for supporting this great cause.
