Warriors Impress at Home vs. Langley
Your Westside Warriors brought the home town crowd of 1363 supporting fans another win with a 3-1 victory over the Langley Chiefs. Goals came from #18 Jordan Gagne in the first, #22 Trevor Bailey in the second on the power play, and #16 Brett Howe in the third. Warriors? offensive defensemen #27 Corey Pritz had a two point night assisting on the first and second Warrior?s goals.
The Warriors were awarded all three game stars with goaltender #33 Kevin Jebson taking the games first star by stopping 31 of 32 shots for the win. The other stars were awarded to #23 Alex Grieve, and #16 Brett Howe. Westside also went 1-5 on the power play, while the Chiefs were stoned by the Warriors, who are still ranked the #1 penalty kill team in the BCHL. The Warriors now have a record of 16-9-0-3 and stand in a 35 point tie for third place in the Interior Conference with their arch rival, the Penticton Vees.
