RECAP: WARRIORS VICTORIOUS OVER SILVERBACKS IN PRESEASON OPENER

#7 Felix Trudeau led the way Friday night with 2 goals and 1 assist

West Kelowna, B.C. – West Kelowna comes out on top in their 1st preseason game with a 4-1 victory over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Friday night.

It was a game that started with an Elan Bar Lev Wise goal after Felix Trudeau was able to find the passing lane connecting for the first goal of the game. The Silverbacks would later tie the game before the end of the first period. 

The second period was all Warriors. First, Nick Roukounakis was able to score by playing the puck behind the net off the skate of Silverbacks goaltender Liam Vanderkooi and in to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead.  Felix Trudeau would later do the exact same as Nick Roukounakis scoring off the back of Vanderkooi’s skate and in to make it 4-1 which would eventually be the final. Johnny Derrick stood tall stopping 30 of 31 Silverbacks shots.

Saturday night’s puck drop will be 6:00pm from the Shaw Centre in Salmon Arm. All Warriors preseason games will be broadcast on HockeyTV and the Warriors Mixlr internet radio feed.
