August 9th, 2022

WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club are excited to announce the commitment of Jake Bernadet (‘03) for the 2022-23 season.

Bernadet played with the Islanders Hockey Club (NCDC) last season where he registered 15 goals and 8 assists in 46 games played. “We are very excited for Jake to join the Warriors family,” said Warriors General Manager & Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “Jake attended our Boston Development Camp this summer and impressed our staff with his ability to create plays and control the pace of play. He’s a late bloomer who has a very high offensive ceiling.”

Bernadet is a dual citizen. He lives in South Burlington, Vermont but his family originates in Montréal Quebec. “It feels amazing to commit to the Warriors” said Bernadet. “Growing up as a kid in Vermont it’s very hard to showcase yourself, Vermont is a small state where it’s difficult to make a name for yourself. I am super excited to get started with the Warriors.”

Bernadet joins multiple new recruits for next season including defenceman Matt Fusco, Nolan Hayes, Bobby May and forwards Kailus Green, Matthew Lee, Luke Devlin, Ben MacDonald, Jaiden Moriello and Felix Caron.

Season tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2022/23 season. Visit westkelownawarriors.ca for more information.
