NEWS: GRANT PORTER COMMITS TO THE WARRIORS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 27th, 2021

WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce the commitment of forward Grant Porter (‘02) for the 2021-22 season.

The Weston, Massachusetts native is currently sitting at 15 goals and 26 assists in 32 games played with New Hampshire Jr Monarchs (NCDC). “We are very excited for Grant to join the Warriors family”, said Warriors Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “Grant has a great shot, plays with good speed and has a high IQ for the game. We expect him to be an elite player in the league next year”.

The 5’11, 175 pound forward had close to home reasons why he picked the BCHL and the Warriors. “My brother played in the BCHL back in 2018-19 and I always looked up to him,” stated Porter. “Pat Lawn also talked to me about the Warriors and expressed how much he loves it there. When the Warriors reached out to me it was a no brainer to go play for them”. The Relationship between Pat Lawn and Grant Porter stem back to their time with Rivers High School.

Porter is committed to The College of the Holy Cross (NCAA). The Warriors would like to welcome Grant and his family to the City of West Kelowna and the Warriors organization.
