NEWS: NICK ROUKOUNAKIS COMMITS TO THE WARRIORS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 5th, 2021

WEST KELOWNA B.C. – The West Kelowna Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce the commitment of forward Nick Roukounakis (‘03) for the 2021-22 season.

The Pembroke, Massachusetts native is scored 11 goals and 16 assists in 26 games played with Thayer Academy (USHS Prep). “We are very excited for Nick to join the Warriors family”, said Warriors Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “Nick is going to be a tough player for opponents to play against. He protects the puck well, has a great shot and an ability to dominate a game”.

The 6’2, 220 pound forward played a handful of games this season for the US National Development Program (USHL) and was approached by the Warriors staff earlier this year. “It was an honor and a dream of mine to be able to represent my country at such a high level,” stated Roukounakis. “I was approached by Simon Ferguson after one of my prep school games. After hearing from some players from the organization past and present I knew West Kelowna would be a great fit for me”. Roukounakis spent time playing alongside current Warriors forward Connor Joyce back in Greater Boston.

Roukounakis is committed to Boston University (NCAA). The Warriors would like to welcome Nick and his family to the City of West Kelowna and the Warriors organization.
