WARRIORS PICK UP TOP PLAYER FROM WILLIAMS LAKE

Westside, BC- Last week, the BCHL held a dispersal draft for the Williams Lake franchise, with teams picking in reverse order of their year end standing. The Westside Warriors picked 4th and managed to get the top point producer in speedy 20- year old, John Dewar.

Dewar, who hails from Penticton, will bring great speed and his more then a point a game scoring punch to the Warriors forward line up. ?John was one of the players we felt could add to our line up and make us better,? stated Gary Gelinas, president.

Coach Howell was very pleased to obtain Dewar. ?We are excited to add John Dewar to our team. He is an extremely gifted player, who plays with speed and skill. Our team will be a better offensive team with him in our line-up. The other element that was important for our organization was that we added a player with character and will fit into our dressing room and in the community. Everything we have heard about John is very positive,” indicated coach Howell.
