Warriors Make History with Franchise-Best Start
With a 7-1-1 record, the West Kelowna Warriors have officially achieved the best start in franchise history. Their latest victory, a 5–2 win over the Surrey Eagles at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack on Wednesday morning — continues a dominant early-season run that’s turning heads across the league.
The team’s fast, focused play has set them apart early in the BC Hockey League campaign, building momentum with every game. Their previous best came four seasons ago, when the Warriors opened the year at 7–2 through nine games. This year’s group has raised the bar even higher, combining consistent goaltending, balanced scoring, and disciplined team play to stay near the top of the standings.
Next up, the Warriors return to home ice this Saturday, October 18th, to face the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at 7:00 PM inside Royal LePage Place.
“I believe team records like this are a great reflection of the hard work our players have put in to start the season. That said, we need to ensure we remain diligent in our details and consistently adhere to our DNA, because there are no off nights in the BCHL.” said GM & Head Coach Simon Ferguson
